Stóra Laxá is Located in the southern part of Iceland only 90 minutes from Keflavik Airport. The river spans over 90 kilometres where it runs from Lake Grænavatn through the gorgeous and scenic canyons Laxárgljúfur before opening up on to the meadows and joining the glacier river Hvítá.

The recently built Stora Laxa Lodge is centrally situated midway between the west branch and the canyon branch. The lodge offers an exclusive suite with a queen size bed and a bathroom.
