The water · By the day · 1 rod
The salmon furthest from the sea in all of Iceland, and a very high proportion of multi-sea-winter fish. One rod, your own dates.
ISK 59,000per rod, per day
The Gorge is the wild end of Stóra-Laxá — a ravine where few people have ever set foot. It holds a very high proportion of multi-sea-winter salmon, and the salmon that have travelled furthest from the sea of any in Iceland.
It does not sell as a fixed period. You pick your dates and how many rods, minimum two, anywhere in the season from 20 July to 30 September, and pay by the rod per day. A larger party may share the rods.
Its own water, its own dates, its own 1 rod — the Gorge is counted separately from the Upper Beat, so booking here takes nothing away from that section and nothing there takes away from this. One rod is the whole of it, though, so the days you want are worth taking early.
A guide is optional here rather than included — the one section where that is your call. There is no accommodation at the Gorge: this is a day on the water, and anglers arrange their own beds. Expect a walk in and a capable 4×4 to reach it.

You pick the dates and the number of rods; the same two sessions apply, 08:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 22:00. Nothing is bundled — add a guide or tackle if you want them.
Genuine choices, not part of your rod price. Add them when you book, or add them later.

Included on the Lower and Upper sections; optional in The Gorge.
